Overview

Nestled in the unassuming neighborhood of Bell Gardens, La Diosa de los Moles Spices serves as a vibrant tribute to Mexico’s rich culinary heritage. This intimate Mexican restaurant specializes in mole, offering a menu packed with traditional and inventive dishes that honor this complex, layered sauce.

The star attraction here is undoubtedly their range of moles. From the deep, smoky notes of the Mole Oaxaqueño to the bold, spicy signature Mole Manchamanteles, each plate tells a story of authentic flavors crafted with care. The Enmoladas Oaxaqueñas De Queso Blanco stand out as a must-try—tender tortillas enveloped in cheese and drenched in their award-winning mole, showcasing the perfect balance of richness and subtle heat.

The menu doesn’t stop with mole; succulent steak options like the Rib Eye Chipotle and Rib Eye Fine Herbs provide a delicious counterpoint, appealing to those looking for heartier fare. Traditional dishes such as Enchiladas Verdes and the lesser-known Enfrijoladas offer variety while maintaining that signature Mexican depth of flavor.

Though cozy in size—with seating for roughly six tables inside and some additional outdoor spots—the space at La Diosa de los Moles feels warm and welcoming. The small footprint fosters an intimate dining experience where the kitchen’s artistry shines through in quick service and thoughtful presentation. Expect a bustling atmosphere as word spreads about this local gem.

Visitors often praise the attentive, friendly staff who elevate the meal with genuine hospitality. Many reviews highlight the blend of efficient service and personal touches that make the visit memorable. Parking can be a challenge due to the shared lot with a nearby liquor store, but the effort is worth it for both locals and curious travelers from greater Los Angeles.

The target audience here spans devoted mole enthusiasts and newcomers eager to explore true Mexican cuisine beyond the usual staples. La Diosa de los Moles is an ideal stop for those seeking an authentic gastronomic adventure, flavorful dishes steeped in tradition, and a chance to savor different regional mole varieties in one sitting.

Overall, La Diosa de los Moles Spices is a standout destination that delivers bold tastes and genuine experiences within a humble setting. Its dedication to preserving and celebrating mole’s diverse heritage makes it a top contender for anyone’s list of essential Mexican dining in Southern California.

Wow! I really didn't know where my best friend was taking me out to eat. We walked in and boy was it tiny as the food came out. It left me speechless and when I tasted it I couldn't get over it. I ended up cleaning my plate. So I suggest you go and try it. You'll love it. Just make sure you wear sweatpants So you definitely have room for dessert. I will be back

Came by around 4 p.m. on a Monday: nice and quiet at first, but a few parties showed up by the time I left. The staff? Super friendly… and okay, my server was adorably cute and really polite. I was low-key mesmerized by her smile. She made the whole experience even better. Food came out crazy fast, like 5–7 minutes tops. I ordered the enmoladas (mole enchiladas stuffed with cheese or chicken). The cute server was super chill and let me mix and match moles, definitely major bonus points. I tried two Mole Oaxaqueño (award-winning, rich, a little heat) and one Mole Manchamanteles (chef’s smoky, spicy signature). Both were excellent. They even gave me free chips so I could sample four different moles. Who does that anymore? Love it. The place is small , maybe six tables inside and a couple outside, but they pack serious flavor into that little space. Parking’s shared with a liquor store (only a few spots), so you might need to park on a nearby street. Still worth it. Honestly, might be my favorite mole spot in the LA area. If it were closer to LB/Carson, I’d probably be here way too often… and not just for the mole .

Diosa is in a humble location in Bell. The menu is varied. The mole is outstanding. I had chilaquiles with house mole... delicious. The plantains were excellent in their yummy sauce. A must try gastro experience.
